Your family's information, handled with care

Last updated: June 3, 2026

Safe Trip Direct Student Transportation ("Safe Trip Direct," "we," "us") operates a technology platform that matches families, schools, and the general public with independent, vetted drivers in the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex. This policy explains what we collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. By using our website, forms, or messaging, you agree to the practices described below.

1. Information We Collect

You give us directly: name, phone, email, home/pickup address, child's name and age, school and schedule, special needs notes, and (for drivers) license, insurance, vehicle details, and background-check authorization.

Collected automatically:IP address, device and browser type, pages visited, and form interactions used to operate and secure the site.

Student data is sacred. A child's information is used only to match the ride and share with the assigned driver. It is never sold, never used for advertising, and never profiled.

2. How We Use Information

  • Match families and riders with a vetted independent driver.
  • Send ride confirmations, pickup/drop-off alerts, and schedule changes.
  • Screen, onboard, and re-verify drivers (county, state, federal).
  • Respond to inquiries from parents, schools, and ISD partners.
  • Maintain safety, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations.

By submitting a form or phone number, you consent to receive service-related calls, texts, and emails. Standard message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any marketing message to opt out; essential safety and ride messages will continue.

3. Sharing of Information

We do not sell personal information. We share only as needed:

  • With the independent driver matched to your ride.
  • With trusted vendors (hosting, messaging, payments, background checks) bound by confidentiality.
  • With schools or ISDs when you request a school-coordinated route.
  • When required by law, subpoena, or to protect rider safety.

Independent drivers are responsible for their own conduct and their own compliance with Texas transportation laws. Safe Trip Direct is not liable for the misuse of information by third parties outside our control.

4. Data Retention

We keep personal data only as long as needed to provide the service, comply with law, and resolve disputes. De-identified, aggregated data may be retained indefinitely for operational analysis.

5. Your Choices

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, and you may opt out of marketing at any time. Email support@safetripdirect.com. Some records (driver vetting, ride logs) must be retained for safety, insurance, and legal reasons.

6. Security

We use commercially reasonable safeguards — encryption in transit, access controls, and vendor due diligence. No internet service is perfectly secure. Parents are encouraged to review ride activity and report concerns to us immediately.

7. Children Under 13

We do not knowingly collect data directly from children. Student information is provided by the parent or legal guardian solely to arrange transportation.

8. Texas Residents

Texas families have rights under applicable Texas privacy law, including the right to know what personal information we hold about you and to request correction or deletion (subject to safety, insurance, and legal retention requirements). Send requests to support@safetripdirect.com. This policy is governed by the laws of the State of Texas.

9. Changes to this Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be posted here with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the platform means you accept the revised policy.
